Could be better. There is almost no explanation and the option to move forward to practice the next character is always open. ie: theres no requirement to "master" (even slightly) the correct form and no acknowledgment that you used incorrect form-which is necessary to the person looking to learn the correct form. If kana is generally meant to be written left to right, top to bottom, then there should be some guidelines or reprimand when/if you dont-Literally, you can just scribble across the page. I could do that in my Notes app. Not helpful.
